Softr guideSoftr apps run in the browser, so you have two built-in ways to print a record: your browser's print command, and the PDF export on Softr's Item Details block. For branded documents like invoices or reports, use a document tool.

Print a page from the browser
- Open the record's page in your Softr app.
- Press Ctrl+P (Windows) or Cmd+P (Mac).
- Pick a printer, or choose Save as PDF.
Results vary from page to page: the browser prints the app's header and menus too, and long pages can be cut off. In the print dialog, turn off headers and footers and try landscape for wide layouts.
Export a record as PDF with an Item Details block
Softr's built-in PDF export lives on the new Item Details block.
- In Softr Studio, open the page with the record's Item Details block.
- Add a button to the block and set its action to Export.
- Enter a default file name, and choose whether to export the block or the whole page.
- Publish the app. Users click the button to download the PDF.
The PDF captures the block as it looks in your app. That works for a quick record summary, but not for a formatted invoice with a line-item table and totals.
Generate documents from Softr Databases with FlexiPage
When the same document goes out for many records, like invoices, work orders or status reports, FlexiPage builds it from your data:
- Connect Softr in FlexiPage with your Softr API key.
- Design a template from your Softr Databases table. Type @ to insert fields, and turn linked records into tables.
- Generate PDFs from a Softr Workflow with a Run Custom Code step, and save each one back to the record.

Can I print a list of Softr records?
Download the Table block as CSV or Excel and print it from a spreadsheet, or print the page from your browser.
Why does my printed Softr page include the menu and header?
Browser print captures the whole page. Use the Item Details export set to the block only, or generate the document with a template.
Can Softr export several records into one PDF?
Not with the Item Details export, which covers one record's page. A template-based tool can list related records as table rows in one document.
